I'm back from vacation over Christmas and will begin shipping again on Monday Dec 29th. We should be all caught up by Tuesday, will ship Wednesday then closed again Jan 1-2. Shipping resumes in the New Year on Jan 5.

NEW Rewards Program

The last new feature of our updated shopping cart is a chance to reward our customers for coming back or purchasing larger amounts. We now have a rewards program! You will get 1 or more (on certain items) points per dollar you spend and can use those points to purchases selected items.

Just make your purchase - as you look at each item to put in your shopping cart you will see the number of points you will earn. When you have placed an order, you can look at your account (click on My Account at the top right of the top menu bar). Then one item will be My Rewards which will show you the detail of all purchases with rewards points earned. Click on Redeem to see a list of items you can buy with your points. You will create a new order with each item you redeem but there is no shipping charge and we will ship multiple redemptions together. If you have just placed an order and earned points, you may go back and spend those points immediately and have the items shipped with your regular order...

Sorry this is not retroactive to old orders but I will be rewarding top customers with extra points.

Affiliate program

Another new feature in our updated shopping cart is an affiliate program. If you have a website for your baby or just a personal one, or even a business or informational site and want to link to us - why not set up an affiliate program that will give you a 5% commission on anything bought by people coming to my site from yours?

At the top of the page you will see the item "Affiliate Program" Click on that or click on picture below. The page will direct you to set up an account and you'll be all set. You will see the orders you have generated when you sign in to your Preemie Store account and be paid at the end of the month through paypal - you will need to set up a paypal account for the email address you use.

New Returns (RMA) System

Returns used to be totally uncontrolled - people sent them but I did not have a good method to make sure they all were taken care of - and since I'm the whole business - no department to take care of returns - it was sometimes hard to keep up. And returns sometimes came with no information - not who it was from, not what they wanted me to do, no return address even.

The new systems is this - you go to your account, select the order on which you want to return an item or items. Then click "Add RMA" - you get a form to send me that tells me you want to make a return and whether you want a refund or exchange. So now there is a record of it. I reply with instructions, you return the merchandise - and can always go check online to see the status - I will update when it is received and taken care of.

I hope this works better for both me and all of you! Better yet, I hope everything is perfect and no returns are needed :)

I had been charging a $5.00 return fee but am thinking that now I will waive that in most cases if not all.

Wish List - new feature of The Preemie Store

Wish List is new to The Preemie Store. This allows you to keep a list of items you like but are not ready to purchase, separately from the shopping cart. This way you can log in to your account at any time and see the items you have added to your wish list. They can remain there - or you can order them directly from the wish list page to avoid having to find the item again.

You do need an account to do this - this allows you to save the items. Once it is set up, to see the wish list - go to "My Account" link at the top of each page.

Our shopping cart company - 3dcart - has just upgraded to a new version with LOTS of cool new features. Not only does it make creating and editing the store easier, but we can now offer you some new things too.

1. Wish list - this allow you to accumulate a list of things you want without actually putting them in the cart to buy now - come back later and move them to the cart when you're ready!
2. Gift Registry - sign up for items and get a password for friends and family to use so they can buy just what you want! And no duplicates, it records when something is actually purchased.
3. Better system for doing returns - you enter them and get them approved online, and can check on status.
4. Better customer questions management - we'll have an online ticket system so you can always check the status of questions.
5. Earn reward points towards future purchases. - each item you buy gives you points and you can come back and redeem those later for free merchandise!

Calling all Grandmas!

This is so cute but the company seems to be out of business and we still have some of these left so they are getting cleared out at a very low price. Tiny Dee Sleepers

Tiny Dee, part of the House of Dee in England, specializes in small sizes. I bought up some excess inventory from them but some of it has sizing that is not correct, in my opinion. I have a variety of newborn mostly light velour sleepers that I am offering at a low price. Some are marked 5-8 lbs and some are 8-12 lbs and all are at least small newborn to larger newborn size. They are not premium quality but a great deal for everyday sleepers. This one is medium velour, measures 17 inches from shoulder to heel.  Only $5.99 in our clearance sale.
